Cats Outernet!

Hi guys! I always wanted to join to this forum but first, I had to finish a game in order to understand what are you talking about!
Now, I’ve finished my first (and simple) game, Cats Outernet, FREE for Android devices, thanks to the framework of “Beginning Android Games” from Mario Zechner! You can try it here: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.raiyorugames.cats.outernet.david

It’s the end of the world, kitties have managed to escape from the Internet, RETURN THEM TO THE PLACE THEY SHOULD HAVE NEVER LEFT!.

 1. Touch a cat until it’s stunned.
 2. Once it’s stunned, drag it towards the vortex before it recovers.

But hurry up!, if too many cats manage to escape to the real world… game over.

I hope you enjoy the game. English isn’t my native language, I’m Spanish but I’ll do my best for participate in the forum!

did you make this artwork yourself because it quite good

Artwork was made by Isaky http://isakysaku.deviantart.com/ she is awesome!

Impressive for your first game. Do you have previous programming experience? It doesn’t appear to be the work of a complete newbie.

As others mentioned, the artwork is very good. I felt the game had a nice ‘polished’ feel about it, and played smoothly. Well done. (It is perhaps a bit too hard, and I now have RSI ;D).

Out of interest did you use the standard android 2d graphics libraries, or OpenGL ES?

The art in this was pretty great.

But the gameplay was a little too hectic- maybe give the player some time to understand what’s going on before overloading them with cats?

I could see this becoming fun in the same way that Battle Cats is. Nice work overall.

18 months since last reply… any particular reason to revive it?

Because I was just perusing the Featured Games board and decided to try a bunch out?

Feel free to delete as you see fit, I just figured that late feedback was better than no feedback…

Edit: Especially since it appears that replying to the post doesn’t “bump” it to the top, I don’t really see any harm in it. Correct me if I’m wrong though!
