Built and tested latest Linux JInput

I just built and tested the Linux JInput on SUSE9.1 and it built flawlessly and ran perfectly in the tests.

If someone els eis having trouble building the current sources under Linux, could you
please post your environment and any errors you are getting?

I keep hearing this rumor that the current soruce is broken, but its working fine for me…

JK

Ah, its was windows that wouldn’t build for me. That could well have been my setup. Also macos binaries arn’t available anywhere (and surprisingly I don’t have a mac platform :)) I’m not surprised the linux plugin works, it has Endolf

I know its a community project and we should all be building from source etc, but it would be damn useful to have binaries (up to date) for all three platforms available on the jinput site.

Kev

Yes, it would. And at one poitn we had autobuild working nightly.

Then we lost our build engineer ina Sun RIF and the builds broke soon after.

About all I can suggest is a community-type solution. I can arrange some
ftp space if people are willing to do buidls manually periodically and post the for others.

Im willing to do that every so often for Linux…

At the moment I think its just key to get a single build up somewhere, of the current working state. I know endolf can build the windows and linux versions (since his system is well setup for it), which I’m sure he’ll do once he’s back from hols. However, the real problem is finding someone with a Mac who can build the library?

Any stylin Mac users out there want to lend a hand?

Kev

We have a MAc voliunteer out there who recently updated the mac Jinput plugin… il ltry to tag him.
