Books, Movies, Games for free

Hey guys,

In preparation of our moving to the US I collected some oldish books and movies / games that we won’t take with us. I give them away for free but will only ship them in Germany (or in special cases you might want to pay for the shipping to elsewhere in the world).
Since I know there are a couple of German people around here in the forum I invite you guys to pick up some of the non yet gone things.

If you are interested, please add your name next to the interested piece and leave me a notice here so I know that you are from here. Find the list here: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1X3z9mjqqEGI0sHM-MYUTJxqyBoJUIkHiO7Mx23F48Q8/edit?usp=sharing

Thanks

Chris

PS: DVDs will have region code 2 and XBOX 360, PS2 and PS3 games might be region locked as well. PC games might contain other languages than German.

As a German who is going to emigrate as well, I salute you

hehe where will you move to?

I will try Japan, if that doesnt go as well then its the US. Canada is an option too, sure :3

I hope you’re aware that it is not just “oh I’ll go there” and a month later everything’s setup like a lot of people in Germany expect for the US. Not sure how hard it is to get a work permit for Japan but the US is pretty hard and you might want to expect more than one year of preparation. Without a company getting you over, you just have a chance on the diversity visa (greencard lottery), everything other visa is like unlikely to happen without the help of a company
Canada btw is kind of easy for German people and might be a good alternative

Yeah rest assured I have studied the options for years in case of Japan and the US. Actually in case of th US I have talked to an immigration lawyer.
Indeed getting an H1B is no simple matter… and takes a long time and costs a lot of money. But that’s what it is…
Good to know that Canada is rather simple, haven’t looked into Canada seriously yet.

And now I am a proud owner of ‘Programming in Scala’.
Thanks for your kindness.

My pleasure

Wow. People really do things like this?
I guess I’m signing up for Demon’s Souls - Black Phantom Edition or/and Midnight Club - Los Angeles then ;D
Unfortunately I can only open the spreadsheet in read mode so I couldn’t enter my name. I may not be the only one - maybe something’s wrong with the file permissions.

I removed the edit rights last week to first get all the currently signed up things out.

Will open up a second round next week and why shouldn’t people do something like that?

Oh people should! It’s just a positive surprise that something that says “free” isn’t an advertisement or spam.

I see  Activated write rights again. Will be in California over the week, therefore it might take some time before I come back on that.

You rotate my world – I think its be good to working in German XD
But i happy for you guys ^^

I see this and think - i must share it

Yeah not gonna watch it as I am familiar with that.
Homeless living in Internet Cafes, even getting mail there.

Actually pretty cool. I mean if you would become homeless, wouldnt you rather go to an internet cafe?

It’s good decision if you can’t live without PC )
I agree with it.
