Could we get a new main forum called “Book Reviews”. Each topic would pertain to a certain book, the topic title should be the book name. Everyone that has an opinion on a book can post in that books topic. That should keep the number of topics in the forum down.
I’d rather see a proper news page on JGO, with a list of articles and reviews on it, and links to discussions in the forums from there…
hint hint Chris…

We already have far too many main sections. There are only a few books around. An own section would be really overkill.
Good idea, however what does that have to do with book reviews?
It means that Book Reviews go in their own place on the site, not in the forums as such. Along with other news and articles. Like a lot of other sites out there. It’s a good, tried and tested format I think.

Okay I see, but given that your suggestion is probably not going to happen any time soon and adding a forum is trivial…
oh f*ck it I’ll just keep using the off topic section even though it isn’t.
/me wants a Wiki
Wikis are wierd… I have quite figured out how they work… but they seem cool ;D
My real point of a Wiki is it would allow us to just go ahread and create content about book reviews without involving the site operators. They are very non-linear and being a programmer I like linear things. (they are easier to debug) The JGO community is rather self contained and we don’t seem to need much involvement from our sysadmins. A Wiki would futher remove that dependicy and make us more self contained.
i think a book review section would be a good idea… for the JGO site.
