Be seen by a bunch of Sun geeks!

Hey Guys,

Once a month the Game technology Group is holding what we call the “Frag Fest.” Its an educational thing we do to get the square non-gaming sun folks fired up about games. We generally have a miny lan-party (4-6 machines) plus we demo Java Games in the lab.

Which gets me to the point. next Frag fest is next friday. If anyone has cool demos of their games they’d like Sun folks to see, drop me a line with a pointer here or at jeffrey.kesselman@sun.com.

Among other folks that show up are our Java Desktop group and they are on the lookout for some good game demos they could ship with that  (Java Desktop == Linux so you’ld need to be up on Linux for them. I can show Win32, OSX or Linux in the lab  )

Jeff

I think you have shown FlyingGuns already … nothing more to advertise then…

Someone here from the forum volunteered to port FG to xith3d - this might lead to new fodder for your fragging

What kind of standard & level of completeness are you looking for? A week is a bit short notice to get something ready

I’ve got just the thing to give Desktop  And if Elias gets his act together we’ll have it ready for the Mac, too.

Cas

Sorry for the short notice, its all i had that I was organizing the Java part of Frag Fest. Usually they are at the end of the month but Thanksgiving bumped us up this month.

If you can’t make this month there’ll be another one next month.

In terms of level of completeness. Compltetd stuff is great, obviously. If there’s any game play people can fool with and it doesn’t crash thats probably good enough

Sounds great, is this where we send those mini games we never nearly finished?

Correct!
