I have added that to my list! The “1 Mob w/ Event System.”

To start, the combat system itself won’t be too complex. The first mob I make will have it’s own event/attack’s. The order and times it does them may be random but overall, it will be pretty basic. I’m more going for a proof of concept rather than anything concrete while I’m in “alpha.”

Think of the event system found in things like RPG Maker, for example.

I’ve added a somewhat crude attack animation for the pool cue melee weapon:

I’ve wrestled with this for a few days and almost decided to ‘scrap’ it for the first Alpha but I thought it too important not to at least give a fruitful attempt. This is probably as good as it’s gonna get with my current art skills ^^

Settings

The settings now save to a file upon being edited. Currently fixing a few more bugs.

Do you consider looking into inventory during combat?

Yes. It will work similar to how it did in Fallout 3/NV; The game will essentially pause. I thought about slowing time but that wouldn’t make too much sense for an orthographic game.
