Assets package

Its obvious, if you are developing a game - sooner or later you need pictures and audio.
Where to get them from?

It is possible to google and download some for free, I know.

But how about making custom assets?

How to create images? Im sure that creating pictures with paint is ridiculous. Any better tools to create pictures like this:
( I like this kind of graphics )
Im fan of 1998-2004 game graphics.
Here is some examples, you may figure out - i want to paint objects like these.

And how about sounds, how to create them?

Many of these (like the isometric tiles) are pre-rendered 3d models, others are made from scratch or from references in photoshop and similar programs.
You need to learn how to use a 3d modelling/texturing/rigging/rendering program (blender, 3ds, maya, whatever) and photoshop.
This learning process will take approximately a few years until you can comfortably make stuff like that.

Same goes for sound, there is a steep learning curve, i can’t tell you much about sound production though.

Ok. But something like these? They shouldnt be high demands?

PAINT.EXE INTENSIFIES

Yeah these are easier to make and probably hand drawn.
You could use programs like Photoshop, GIMP, whatever pixel art program you like or even Paint.

I would have agreed with you in the past, but THIS was made with paint, so what the fuck do I know. Just goes to show that the hand that wields the tool is important, and not the tool itself.

Why are you so sure of this?

If you really have no idea how to start, then starting out in Paint is fine.

Start with something simple.

Google “microsoft paint art” if you want some inspiration. But again, don’t start out trying to emulate the most complicated things you can find. Start with basic 2D graphics nad work your way up from there.
