Development is on going. Which also means I develop it whenever I can since I work full time.
I’m looking to push updates maybe (bi?)weekly.
Depends on the pace I’m working at and what other features or changes need to be made.

Backlog
I’ve got some minor features in the backlog, though I may never ultimately implement them.
I also have some skill replacements in there, but again I may not actually put them in after reviewing their design.

Ascension or Ascenion? Not trying to be an ass, but I really am curious which it’s supposed to be.

Game ran with no issues, except that there’s nobody on the us east server! I ended up running two instances of the game and creating two characters so I could farm myself for exp and get to level 2.

My only gripe was that it was really difficult timing the jump when I was at the edge of a platform.

Hahaha thanks for pointing that out. It’s Ascension. With all the spell checks I failed to check the title.

EDIT: Fixed in the release.

I hope you face palmed your face so hard.

I hope you figure out how to keep your mouth shut

@KenOfNZ keep up the great work! The video looks amazing. I love 2D brawlers, and I prefer them to 3D brawlers. 3D brawlers sacrifice fluid combat for stunning graphics. Also, the GUI in your game is superb

Nobody was on :frowning:

Feels like I have to jump before getting to the edge of a platform in order to make it to the next one up and I wish I could move left/right while midair

@ShadedVertex Thanks!

@ndnwarrior15 Thanks for your feedback! What is your ping to the server? What region would you normally play multiplayer games in? Would allowing control of your movement midair be an improvement or a personal preference?

I deliberately chose to limit the movement in midair due to the nature of combat between the Bow vs Sword skillsets. The Sword skillset has a lot of freedom in mobility compared to Bow’s lock in place skills. By limiting movement in midair Bow players can punish poorly timed jumps.

My ping was 80’s and I’m in Utah.
I’ve always considered Super Smash Bros on the N64 to be the gold standard for these types of games and I even fired up the emulator to check that yes I can move midair. It’s not like it’s a whole lot of mobility but it is there.

Awesome 8), I’ll put in some changes for the next update to see how it will feel.

A tidbit in server load testing. 70 dummy player connections to a room.

Working on some enhancements to the ingame HUD as well some visual feedback when hitting something.

I’m hoping to push updates (bi?)weekly. Really depends on the pace that I’m working at.

Game looks cool  I like the skills!
