Are you interested in a JNI binding of Cal3D ?

Cal3D (http://cal3d.sourceforge.net) is an open-source animation library that is used by Soya3D (a python game engine).
It seems to be a really nice library, and there’s no replacement in Java for this domain.

Note : please leave comments on your opinion (it’s not mandatory, but would be appreciated  )

Whats the benefit to wrapping it rather than porting it? Other than how easy it is to do?

Kev

Wasn’t some one talking about porting it a little while ago, or was that for jME? It might be worth doing a search here and over at jME. I also think there is an old version at http://www.shortfuze.co.uk/roller/page/dave

Dan.

edit: ah sorry magicspark, I think it was you that was talking about it beforehttp://192.18.37.44/forums/index.php?topic=9911.0

Hmm… I’m afraid it’s the only reason : it’s really more easy to wrap than to port, and if a new version is released, all the work is lost (or may we work with diffs… ?)
