ApoStarz and ApoPrism

ApoStarz:

ApoStarz is an innovative puzzle game where you must help stars that have fallen from the sky get back to their constellations.
You play ApoStarz by pressing the left or right keyboardbuttons (or use the mousebuttons above the level) to rotate the play area through 90 degrees.
Can you beat the more than 300 levels?

ApoPrism is a highly addictive light-based puzzle game, that will keep you hooked for hours, based on the DS-Game Prism. Bounce, split and deflect the light using Mirrors, Splitters, Filter Blocks, Prisms. Only having every piece in exactly the correct place, will filter and direct the light and solve the puzzles.
A very easy to use editor comes with too.

Hi

Your links don’t work.

Thanks,

sorry my mistake. I corrected it. =)

Very cool! Would be nice if ApoStarz would rotate a bit faster.

I like the prism one, managed to waste 2 hours of family time yesterday afternoon on it !

Thanks for testing

I add an option for the rotation speed in ApoStarz. Now you can choose how fast the level should rotate =)

I have a little question:
If you need help to solve a level in ApoPrism, you can show the solution by pressing the ?-button. But from level 50 I won’t show the whole solution immediately. What can I do?
Idea 1: Add every minute an object in the solution. After 10 minutes the whole solution is visible.
Idea 2: If you use the solution, the levelcode is invisible. You can play all levels in one turn, but you can’t resume from your last level next time.
Idea 3: Show no solution. But then the problem can be that the player would give up. And that isn’t my request. =)

actually I did think the hint gave too much away - how about it tells you of only one misplaced object and where it should be, per hint, and only say 3 hints per level ?

Cool games! (kept turning the wrong way in Starz tho).

Why not show 1 part of the solution at a time?. So every time help is clicked on you pick a random piece which is out of place and hint where it should go. This would be generally better than just showing the whole solution all at once.
BTW can you make the hints flash or pulsate or something? Sometimes it’s hard to tell the difference between the hints and the actual pieces.

Otherwise its great! Good presentation and a nice gentle learning curve.

Thanks for the ideas and testing =)
I’ve implemented it =) Now only 1 part of the solution is shown when you press the ?-button. From level 50 you get only 2 hints per level and every 5 minutes 1 hint more. So you can solve every level.

You think it’s ok?

yep, that’s better.

Had my 6 and 7 year-old kids playing it yesterday evening, they loved it !

Thanks for testing =)

Now I add an action mode in ApoPrism. There you have to light up the stars as fast as possible, otherwise they will explode.
That’s not easy. My record ist level 6  8) ;D
