(I’d prefer a @gmail.com instead of @googlemail.com account. The latter being the default for some countires like Great Britain, Germany, …)

Go through 100 invites? Uh… I just sent 10 of them to myself and pasted the links, if that’s what you mean.

You have to jump, turn around three times and count to 100 with your eyes closed, then you get some invites. No, seriously, I don’t know how they distribute them :). I’ve had an account for quite a while and then the amount of invites increases.

Um. Oh. Are you sure it isn’t selectable then? I have received mails about people accepting invitations to google mail as well as to gmail (those are automatic from the google/gmail teams), and I don’t suppose it’s completely random.

Yes I couldn’t select. I changed the language in the menu and the location but this didn’t affect the @.
It’s no problem, because actually Google aliases the adress@googlemail.com to adress@gmail.com and vice versa, but as a developer we always want to know all details, isn’t it? :slight_smile:

I have 100 invites left… I suppose I could spare two or three ;D

I also believe that gmail.com and googlemail.com are interchangeable… at least for now. I read somewhere that the rights of the name ‘G-Mail’ belong to somebody in UK who’s now forcing Google to rename GMail as googlemail in England and Germany…
