Anyone remember a little game called... Secret of Mana?

I played this game as a kid (and still do) and I’ve come to realize that this game is just beautiful. A perfect example of what a game should convey to its audience, I think.

I’ve just recently beat it again, for the 5th… or… 25th or something I don’t remember xD, and I still love it!

I found something really cool called Spectrum of Mana which is a tribute album for the SoM series and its lead director Hiro Isono who died just last year. You can check that out at www.spectrumofmana.com definitely something cool for all of you SoM fans to pick up. The entire album + art is free to download, or you can buy a hard copy. They even have t-shirts.

(I’m not advertising for their profit, but they do deserve it, it is just really cool.)

Such a terrible loss for me personally, Secret of Mana was the game that made me want to develop games and was one of the first I ever played as a child.

There will never be a game quite like it.
