Any Tips/Advice for a Newbie trying to make something big with LibGDX?

Need tips/suggestions from seasoned game designers/developers for a new who wants to make it big in LibGDX.
How to plan the journey that leads to a successful game?
What needs to be take care while drafting the design & idea?
Any pitfalls to lookout for?

Make something small to END )
That means: all Graphics, Animations, GUI, Sounds, and Lvls
Let say Flappy Bird or Tetris, or Space Invaders…

Even such small games may looks like easy task
– but even they contain many small time consuming parts
(and optimistic 2-3 weeks may transforms into 3-6 months))

Actually I have tried creating couple of small ones so far.
Snake and Flappy bird.
But yeah, I have used the free graphics for the game assets. Haven’t created them myself.

I agree, start with Pong, make some kind of platform, don’t start too big, try to end a project before start new one!

Agreed with all here… you’ll get A LOT more out of making a tetris clone than failing to make your dream.

Yes, start with a plan. Write out on paper how you think the dat should be organised… this will probably be wrong for some reason in practice but at least map the start out.
