I’ve been programming this game for two months, most of that time was spent ‘polishing’ the game, and I am happy to say that yesterday I released a game for the first time. The project was a collaborative effort, I work with JumpButtonStudios.com (a great team of artists, programmers and other talented people). One of the many people that had a hand in the game was Opiop :slight_smile:

Anyway, here is the game. Its about a hippie, and his barrel-dodging/balloon-popping adventure.

Description

Engage in hippie-balloon warfare in this action packed arcade thriller! Dodge obstacles, puke rainbows and try to beat your high score! Indulge your liberal self in this radical reflex-testing barrel-dodging hippie fiesta!

~ Pop ~
Over 7 different colors of balloons! But watch out, popping the black balloons will surely ‘harsh your mellow’!

~ Puke ~
Spew rainbow vomit at your targets!

~ Dodge ~
Narrowly escape increasingly difficult obstacles! Propel yourself through the air with your hair!

Instructions
Dodge barrels, pop all balloons but black balloons.

i tried a couple of times and (without reading the instructions) couldnt work out the controls, then quit on accident and reloaded it but now it stops working when i press play

EDIT: loaded it again later and it worked once, i died, click play again and it froze then crashed :frowning:

There is a bug where if you leave the game a cretain way, when you re-open it the game will not work. While I work on a fix, a temporary fix is to clear the app from your applications running in the background. Also, we have instructions that should run the first time you play the game, but I forgot to reset the preferences before I launched it, I will fix this as soon as possible. Until then the instructions are in the original post :slight_smile:

One of our many steps and phases in preparing for an eventful summer has been set in motion, and that starts with the release of our launcher (BETA). The launcher will be used to launch our games from now on and will helps us as developers because it will give us useful feedback about which games you guys are playing more and which parts of them you like more. There is currently only one game available to install as we took down its download from the games page. Stay tuned for more updates folks!

I released an update for RainbowHippie a couple days ago, forgot to post on here. Alot of really cool stuff got added in.

Here is the update’s summary :

  • New character : “Female Hippie”
  • Added in a character selector
  • Game now records your total balloon pops
  • Re textured balloons
  • Added mute button
