All You Need Is Cash

Hello JGO,

Last Friday night, I watched a “mockumentery” about the Beatles called “All you Need Is Cash”. It traces the story of the Rutles, Ron Nasty, Dirk McQuickly, Stig O’Hara, and Barry Wom. Many Beatle song parodies turn up, such as “Piggy in the Middle” (I Am the Walrus), “Cheese and Onions” (A Day in the Life), and “Ouch!” (Help!) I’m wondering if anyone else saw this TV film.

P.S. If this belongs anywhere else (Like the Chitchat Monster), I apologize for posting this in the wrong place.

I’m a connoisseur of offbeat movies and did stumble across that particular one a while back. It was good for a once through, but I found it rather forgettable; I think I’ve been spoiled by too many viewings of “This Is Spinal Tap” over the years. LOL If you want to see a good band based comedy movie, consider giving “That Thing You Do” a shot. It’s a more refined production that either"Spinal Tap" or “All You Need” and not slapstick comedy, but still a good watch.

You should watch Spinal Tap.

[edit]: ah, too slow.
