AgentKeeper a DungeonKeeper alike Game written in Java (and now even OpenSource)

I made a small Promo-Video (you should watch it in HD) that explains the the Game I made from November until now.

Looks very good. I’ve been a big fan of the Dungeon Keeper concept and now and then pondered to make my own remake. But it seemed too big and I was always busy with other ideas so I never tried.

Your demo looks very advanced already, so I guess there is a good chance that it will succeed. Good luck with the project :slight_smile:

Anyway, there is some basic Gameplay like Basebuilding and simple Fights against Heroes soon, so I try to apply to become a featured Project then 8)

I would, but I’m not the right one to work a longer while on a single project. I already have four projects here in the WIP section and two or three others down in the Java2D section, and I jump between them every few days or weeks.

Wow, I love JMonkeyEngine, I’ve been using it for a few months now.
Didn’t see that announcement coming lol, “Rendering is done via JME”. ;D ;D

Anyways, the game looks really nice, looks like you’ve got tiling, pathfinding, etc down. How do you plan on making the game a true RTS? (talking about the strategy/tactics)

Hey. Thank you. I love the JMonkeyEngine too. Almost good Documentation and very very helpfull community I have to say.
If you watch the Video i mentioned I starting workin on this since November 2012.

Yes, placeholders. And lots of Assets need more/better Animation. Need more Monsters. Better (new) meshes for claimed-tilesets. Better GUI Grafic/Concept and so on.

Yes this is changing in some kind of RTS, like the original Dungeon Keeper. But in this game the mood from your Monsters are Importand otherwise they dont fight for you. And then you dont need tactis or strategy anymore :slight_smile:
