That never hit me til my 30’s … but now I’m looking at them and MOST of them are younger than me, and the ones that are older I look at (Daniel Craig for instance, 44 years old) and think “hey they’re pretty awesome at that age, so maybe there’s hope for me”.
I just can’t drink soda anymore. Temporary sugar high followed by major crash where I’m just completely wiped out. I’ll still drink it if I’m at a barbecue where there’s no beer or something, but that’s about it.
Glad to know there are older folks here, gives me confidence I’ll be doing this for a long time and won’t ever get bored =P (currently I can’t imagine a world where game development would be boring).
So a 29.99999% to 30.0% lower sperm fatality rate when ejaculating then? Every sperm is sacred, you know!

Let’s get one thing straight…my sperm is NOT sacred!
Cripes, I feel old! Still, I can tell you that wisdom doesn’t come with age. 90xx is the JMP instruction for the SC/MP, C4xx was LDI (Load Immediate). Go figure.
Turned 40 this year, uurgghh… Not the oldest here tho it seems + still feel young
I started writing games around 25 years ago on the Acorn Electron (using BASIC), in the days of saving your code to audio cassette, taking care to set the volume level of the tape recorder to around 70% (otherwise, it wouldnt save properly, losing all your hard hours work). What fun. You all have it so easy these days. Have made around 20+ games since then and so far, total earnings due to game development still stands at a big fat: $0.0 I’ll graciously give up one day.
Still get the same buzz writing code as I did all those years ago.
You must be my lost twin lol I’m 14, too, started HTML/PHP at ~12, gave that up, started Java last year by modding Minecraft, started programming my own games since this year, did some stuff with network programming, started lwjgl 1 month before I turned 14 and have started a voxel engine since I’m about 14, too. This is truly astonishing…
