Finally got back to my own project for a bit and was playing with LAFs, I was trying to see what LAFs I could use other than Metal, and it made me ponder if anyone (sun or anyone else) had released any extra LAFs except those that come with the SDK, what would really be funky is say an apple LAF under windows so I can see what my apps would look like on osX if I always use the system LAF

You can’t really get the OSX look on other platforms than the Mac because that look requires native code AFAIK - the same is true for the XP look which also requires native XP theme acces. This page -> http://www.javootoo.com/ however lists a selection of looks and there might be an OSX look alike. Please notice, that starting with 1.4.2, you can (mis)use the GTK look even on platforms like Windows to load any GTK2 pixmap look.

Thanks, http://www.javootoo.com/ is a good site, I’ve played with the skin look and feel from there with the aqua theme, looks kinda cool, even tried it on jbuilder at work, i’m sure i’ll get bored of it sooner or later, but for now, thanks for pointing it out

I’ll second that - I have been using the Kunststoff LAF for years.

Yeah, I think i’ve settled for now on the Kunststoff one. But i’ve still got skinlf with the aqua theme on JBuilder at work, just to play

I tried the Keramic LAF, but it wouldn’t work with webstart (it just doesn’t start any applications)
