I’m currently creating a game in Unity3d engine called “Fief wars online” using their version of java. The game itself runs right in the browser. I was wondering if its ok to post screenshots ect about that game in the WIP section. The game is in early alpha (client), the server is programmed in java as well. I know its not done in eclipse, but is that a requirement for posting in the WIP section, or is using java to program in another engine OK? ???
I think unity uses javascript so you cant post here.
Java or JavaScript?
EDIT: Kinda what death_angel says.
Eclipse is an IDE, basically just a text editor with some features btw and it makes no difference whether you use it or another IDE (google it). Its not comparable to Unity.
You can post your game and your progress in the Misc board.
Java != Javascript
Yah im sorry. I know eclipse and unity3d are two different things.
I guess unity uses their own “JavaScript” so my answer would be no.
I guess misc board would be the way to go.
Thanks everyone for the quick responses.
Java is Java, the language this forum is about. JavaScript is a scripting language, mainly and originally used for client-side website interactions, but is not related to Java.
And yes, always feel welcome in the Misc Board
