A Thanks To All The Java Titans!

I’ve been lurking about the board for a few months now. I’ve also been pestering people with lots of questions!

I just wanted to say a formal thanks to everyone who takes the time to respond to messages! ;D

I frequent Javaranch and post there as well. I even try and help out when I can. For the types of questions I’ve had lately, this seems to be the place to ask most of them.

One thing that sucks for forum ‘old-timers’ is answering the same dumb, newbie questions over and over again. The members here are very patient and I thank you!

For all those times someone joins the forum asks one question and never returns. For those times when someone ask the same lame question for the million’th time. For those posts that are barely even understandable, yet still get responses.

THANKS and THANKS some more!

Anyone who hasn’t said thanks to all the great people here - post away! Show all the Java Titans you appreciate them!

You Java Titans know who you are. You always have the answers to questions. You type up quick examples without even compiling them. You seem to live on the forums sometimes.

So - 36 Reads of this post and no one cares enough to say thanks to all the people who share their time and help here? Come, on. :’(

Surely, I’m not the only one who appreciates all the help around here. ???

Thank you! ::slight_smile:

Teen Java Titans assemble! We must right the wrong, fight for truth and justice! We must…

enable god mode!

(insert ominous thunder and lightening)

(Hey! Who upped the requirement for god mode? 500 posts, isn’t that the threshold?)

Edit: Forgot about the minor deity vs. the major deity capitalization.

(for posterity, jbanes post just then was his 500th).

You see, the almighty arch-god likes his little jokes, so he set the threshold to 501. That’s just so that everytime someone reaches godhood, they make a post saying “hey, I’m a god”, and look like a complete fool.

It’s a rite of passage, and something to remind you that even the word “god” next to your name you can still spectacularly screw up on occasion, no matter how right you think you are. Very deep. Very philosophical.

Fine. Then “Let our powers combine” and all that. (Peeks out of one eye to see if it worked.) ;D

That sounds kinda sad actaully. But yes, thanks to everyone who has answered my stupid questions over the years. Actually, for me, that applies to alot more forums than this one!

Part of being thankful involves helping other when you can.

Ha! I’m not actually a human being. I’m a bot, and I’ve fooled you all. Where’s my Turing test prize money? I’m going to buy myself some more RAM and a German dictionary module so I can spam all the .de boards.

Cas

Princec that explains why you answer that fast and at all hours

Anyway I would say thankyou as well. I have asked many dumb questions and will ask many more.

oh and thankyou to Princecs programmer as well

The princec bot programmer is a violent sociopathic tard who hates all human life.

Cas

I didn’t write you!

Kev

And a toast to the excellent quality of this forum - it certainly made a difference for a lot of Java games…

Thank ya much Java/YABB gods, I havn’t been posting here for too long, but I have been reading for quite a while and have learned alot from your responses.

Absolutely great topic. My thanks to everyone as well, for posting answers, posting questions, and making this a fun community to check-in on each day.
