4000 posts later

I just noticed this is going to be 4000th post. Woot! Things have changed alot over the time - both for Java Gaming and me personally - but I’m still really enjoying it :slight_smile: So, I’ve been meaning to post…

Just a quick note of thanks to all the people that make (and have made) this forum thoroughly enjoyable to read and participate in. Though it’s not quite the same as when I started here - it’s still one of the most useful resources on the web full of some really useful and friendly folks. So, well done! :slight_smile:

I remember when a certain Endolf character said I should take a look at these forums - I might be interested :slight_smile: I’ve managed to build and sell one proper game over that time, and developed god knows how many tech demos, betas, games and apps - mostly through the motivatation this place has provided. So, thanks!

I’ve also yet to see another collection of such creative and talented people in one place, the games, demos and projects that come out of this place speak for themselfs. So, Kudos!

Gushing aside, its been fun!

Hey, don’t go blaming me!!! :slight_smile:

Yes, Endolf is only on 999 - it can’t be his fault.

Yours is at 777 :slight_smile:

The planets have aligned! Hail Cthulhu!

No, it’s >= 1000

Yay, 1000th post :slight_smile:

Well apart from being among the most prolific coders you’re a massive help to those of us coming into the community. The cokenandcode tutorials and tech demos are very useful. I still owe you for helping me debug webstart and for providing the physics code (I’m working on it :)).

This is the only tech forum I know where people actually stick around & participate in an ongoing way. Maybe you all do this because great minds think alike! (or fools seldom differ ;)).
