Nope, youâre right, Opacity doesnât work. Not implemented as yet.
Xith Shadows - Iâve been meaning to talk to someone about this actually, in a hell of of a lot of the geometry I create shadows donât âas youâd expectâ. I wonder if there is some specific winding order or something to how you have to create the geometry.
Normals - Canât remember if I implemented smoothing groups or not. That might be making it look a little odd, but other than that they should be normal.

iâm exporting 3ds from Max using Polytrans- if i dont it seems any scaling of an object will not work in the loader. no massive problem for me mind 
my 3ds file is only 6k - no massive model action going on. so i would have thought shadowing would be ok?
shall i upload my model for u to see? im going to try 2 models in my little xith app- to see if they are shadow casting on each other :)- seems if i turn âmodel.setIsOccluder(true);â it works sweet.
Not sure when Iâm going to be able to get time to get on this what with xmas coming up, however:
Uploading the models would be great! It would nice to try them out myself. Iâll look into putting Opacity into the loader (is there any in the models youâre using).
Finally, the shadowing problem isnât 3DS loader specific so if you use test case could you stick some ânormalâ geometry in the scene. Iâm going to start a topic about this.

would be cool to have the ablity to get the branchgroup objects also
like the ASE loader. prob i have with the ASE loader is no animation.
the md2 is cool but then no branchgroup and its very locked down.
loving it
