2D Pictures

Hi I would like to know the best tool to design 2D picutures for a MMOMG =)

Any suggestions… ? ;D

Thank yOU!

2d pics? hmm… should be vector based, like corel? Don’t know anymore vector based apps :frowning:

Corel Draw is it? but the program very expensive… :-X

like I said… don’t know anymore vector based programs since I don’t use them. Corel is highley professional and expensive… Maybe someone else knows better. … oh yeah, just rembered I heard something about Freehand being vector based also.

Edit: yep, seems like something you need, try 30 day trial verision and say how it went http://www.macromedia.com/software/freehand/

Vector stuff:
Inkscape, Illustrator…

Vector Animation:
Moho, TweenMaker…

Making a MMO*:
lol.

been wondering about that… what’s a mmomg anyway? Couldn’t find anything in acronymfinder.com. Typo?

mmomg is likely a type of mmog (massive multi-player online game)

usually MMO is referring to MMORPG (massive multi-player online role playing game)

The “MG” bit can either stand for “mobile game” or “management game”.

I often heard about mmorpg in javagaming forum, so I would like to show you a website not related to programming, but very interristing about mmorpg : http://www.mondespersistants.com/

It is in french so use a website translator if needed.

ps: one of the member of the team of this web site was working with me in a little society, but after three years of works we have both give our dismiss recently :-).

Hey… thanks… will take note of it…

haha… yeah… i guess it is a typo… :-X

Sorry… :-X

lolz…

Thanks guys!! or girls!! ;D

But Something about Corel Draw, is there anyway to convert it .jpeg or .jpg? Other then taking a screen shot… which I always do…

lolz…

LOL, save as > jpeg ? … or maybe export > jpeg?

ENC never mentioned vector art he said 2D which to me means Photoshop and other 2D art programs.

but he said design 2d pics, not preparing them… best tools for designing logos and simple 2d pics are vector based (I think that’s globally clear why)

If you’re cheap, The Gimp is a great 2D raster-art tool.

Actually I am making 2D images for a game, so is vector much perfered or a 3d image on a 2d game is better?
