Shrug. It’s a different error, and it’s with an out-of-date VM. He should try the latest version. As I said, though, with some companies you just need to get the “not quite latest drivers”.

Oh, and it could be the weather. Is it hot where you are? Plenty of computers have been BSOD crashing this summer around here, and I’ve been impressing people with my magic icepacks! (they’re quiter than extra fans…)

70 degrees F here… no overheating for certain. I get these errors frequently when I close the window (which calls a System.exit(0) and thus the Graphics components are destroyed. How can I tell it to just ignore that when I’m killing everything and it’s in mid-draw?

I just remembered why I needed to add a Canvas to my frame before… without it, the Frame decorations cover up the graphics in my game in windowed mode. Since adding a Canvas no longer works, can anyone suggest another option for getting the screen size I desire and not have to worry about Frame decorations drawing over my stuff?

myFrame.setUndecorated(true)

JFrame has the same method.

Ice Packs? for real? and here i was thinking water cooling was extreme. but then i have heard of liquid hydrogen being used by some crazy dudes somewhere.

trade you. some of your warm weather for some of this horrible freezing cold stuff we are getting here in south australia right now.

I want the decorations so that the window can be minimized/restored/moved/closed, so I can’t just get rid of them
