I just noticed a review of this in the current PC Zone as well, in their Indie Zone section.
A very respectable 70%.

A bit pointless, though… for the readers of PCZone, 70% means “Ignore”. I ignore anything in the rags that gets under 80% myself.

Depends a bit on what you’re after- there aren’t a lot of games along those lines getting mainstream coverage so for people who like their gaming old-skool I would think they are more likely to pay attention to a reasonable score ( and Zone always say they keep to the idea that 50% is average which is one of the main reasons it’s the only gaming mag I buy) for a game that is the kind of thing they would like.
Anyways, it’s brief but only has nice things to say about the game which I’m sure you can make the most of in your publicity - “A veritable bastion of purity, an icon of old-skool high-score gaming” - PC Zone looks good on the web page, even if that is technically talking about the originial Robotron…
Funny thing is the only resemblance Ultratron has to Robotron is having independent 8-way movement and firing. Beyond that there’s not one single thing that’s the same…
And the corollary is that not a single blip appeared in my download logs when PCZone came out. It made absolutely no difference whatsoever. Maybe not even a single download.

By their acts you shall know them I guess :-\
Has Ultratron got much attention in other part of the gaming press? What coverage, if any, has served to bring in the punters?
Didn’t spot this ancient reply… no, no mainstream coverage at all, but a fair amount in indie circles.
