Spine: 2D skeletal animation

Bringing this back just to mention we’ve launched our second Kickstarter today:

Nice! I really wish you good luck! :slight_smile:

Just a question aside, you mentioned your friend ‘Soaryn’. Is he the guy, who programmed the minecraft mod ‘Xycraft’ and is a friend of ‘direwolf20’? I don’t expect Soaryn to be a common name :smiley:

Thanks! 8)

Nope, Søren hasn’t done any Minecraft stuff AFAIK. It’s a pretty common name actually. :slight_smile:

The problem with gaps between images in the animation was what kept me from really investing time in Spine. (I know it can be worked around). Adding meshes will be a huge benefit. I’ll have to consider Spine again when you’ve done these updates.

Oh okay :slight_smile:

I’m from germany, so I guess that’s the reason :smiley:

Spine now has FFD, which lets you animate mesh deformation! Videos and more info here:

First: GREAT JOB!

Second: How long did it take to code that? Jeez that is amazing. I really hope monetizing will work for you, it can be very hard.

Third: The uninstall was not in control panel for Windows 7. Just FYI. I had to go to Program Files (x86) to Uninstall.

Thanks! Let’s see, development started June 2012 and it’s been full time since. Way more than full time actually, I probably work on it 10-16 hours a day. Sometimes I take a day off. I don’t mind, it’s great to be working on my own stuff full time and still be able to pay my bills, which is something I’ve always wanted. Anyway, it’s been 19 months, not including the years developing the OSS libraries it uses (libgdx, Kryo, etc).

Hmm, I haven’t looked at the Nullsoft installer for a while. Why would you want to uninstall it anyway!? :wink:

@Nate

Well since I wasn’t using the software at the moment so I uninstalled.
