well many video cards have svideo out - in any case, connecting it to a tv should be easy
JOGL 2.0 already supports Linux ARM and Android ;D
Bah, I seem unable to buy one today.
Cas
Nope, only 2 distributors, one is only registering interest, the other is sold out of preorders and their site is unresponsive.
Endolf
yeah there was never any to be bought
it was all pre-order stuff
stayed up for nothing =P
There are some resellers which expect to have enough new raspberrys at and of march, not such a long time to wait.
also the 25$ model got upgraded ram, now the same as the 35$ one. The only difference now is that one have a additional ethernet and usb port
I’m going to buy one, simply for the fact that it’s a credit card-sized computer that I can code on.
You mean, like your phone?
But you can’t code on your phone, at least…so far I haven’t found a way to connect a keyboard to mine :persecutioncomplex:

yes you can !
but anyway this “toy” is really fun, I found it even more interresting for doing some kind of robotics
My friend managed to get one. I’m jelly.
I have to admit that the Pi is probably the only thing that’s going to get me using C in earnest again.

I lack the imagination to think of anything that I’d want to use one of these for. Robotics isn’t my thing, and I’ve already got plenty of general purpose computers, so … eh. Glad that people more creative than me have a nice toy for gadget-making anyway.
I’ve already got a £400 computer (the Galaxy S2) in my pocket, I think it’s just the fact that this thing costs virtually peanuts and should therefore eventually be in the hands of every right-thinking geek in existence that has got my attention

nb: can also be usefull for prototyping something for a client that would cost a lot of money
