The custom spam filter already filtered 6 spam posts today. 8)
One slipped through, because it was signature spam.
I think I’m going to alter the account activation page, of which you get the link in your registration mail, and put a custom ‘captcha’ in there. I think that will solve either everything (so that I can disable the spam-post code) or will be a great combination with the current solution.

About captcha, in case you wouldn’t know, some spam bots are highly sophisticated so that they’re able to recognize basic to a bit more complex ones. I don’t know of you have the possibility to require a fairly complex captchas on the form so that most of the time only humans are able to read it?
Specialised captcha-busting software is better than some humans.
