Ludum Dare

Blast! I got mine mostly done. You can see it in work, but I spent too much time on certain things. Heh.

Tiny World - Ideas in the Sea of Thought

I’m definitely going to work on polishing it up and finishing it. Partially because it’ll help on something else I was working on (The place my one, personal library came from for my HexMap) and because I like the idea. If I can, I’m going to try to make it a rather depressing thing, since, in essence, the point of the game is to destroy other ideas, and make those who believe in it forget it… Sort of a sad "When a person dies, there’s a record, when an idea dies no one even remembers it existed) sort of thing.

@davidllanos22
this is bad. what is your jre version?

I tried it was well. No luck at all. I sort of mashed on the keyboard after a bit and got nothing. Using Windows 7 and… JRE7? Maybe? I don’t know.

Tried out it. I so want to make those pigs into bacon.

1.6.0_26 any idea about why is happening?:S

Yeah, it’s a bit difficult, but I think it’s enjoyable!

It makes me think about playing Legend of Zelda in those games where you lose your sword for whatever reason.

Thanks for trying. I updated it. And there an applet too. Let me know if it’s fixed.

I just retried it, and it works pretty well!

Glad to hear. I know the game itslef isn’t too much but hey we’re going to success 1k mission. Ra4king pointed me out that little evil line on IRC.

Now works great! Is quite simple, I like it, and the music makes me laugh, dunno why xDD I’ve survived 11 steps…not much xD

You don’t want to know how I created the music

I see piano as canvas. I did want to draw “star” note but it’s not quite good.

xD

If should have paced myself better. I spent the first 16 hours messing around with a feature that never even made it into my finished product. I wish I’d gotten to the point where I could include the music. C’est la vie.

And nothing wrong with that, I know I used to do that stuff when I was played Mario Paint. What is that program, by the way?

Works for me too, both the applet and jar.

It was a good example of how you can make something both simple and fun.
I made something complicated and not fun instead, it was fun though!

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA its a heart haha, i’m laughing so much ,man D: You should post that on LD

I’ve been playing for 5 minutes but didn’t find the boss D:, I’ll play again later. I like the engine, good work

Thanks
The boss is just the double-sized enemy straight ahead. He doesn’t listen to the “dance” so you must use the other to destroy him
My initial plan included cool, generative and random music each time you started the dance, battery pickups, holes in the ground and fires

Thanks. Your entyr is great. However I find the big boss but don’t know how to damage it.

Ofc. http://www.ludumdare.com/compo/2012/04/22/simple-post-mortem/

Hmmm… 10 minutes before submissions are due and I still didnt know how to make an executable jar file.

I’m lucky! I know how to do all of that thanks to the loveliness that is package-for-store.

Right click project - export - runnable jar - voila! (watch out that eclipse doesn’t include your res)
