For anyone interested theres another library test game called SuperTrooper which is pretty fun - it’s mostly to test particle rendering and gamepad input but also helped me highlight a few more issues.
Move/Aim: Cursors or GamePad
Fire Cannon: Left Control or GamePad Button 1
Drop Mine: Space or GamePad Button 2
