erik - this really rocks.

Everything played wonderfully, however I think there must be a bug because I needed to use more than one credit to complete the game
Maybe I’m just getting old!

Kev
I never even managed to complete it
BTW, is that big black border as you see it on your machine too? The game should take up the complete screen.
Ah no, having completed SF2 many time on SNES, arcade and MAME I can tell you that black border is meant to be there for the ending scenes. The actual game fills the whole screen.
Kev
I just uploaded a new version with configurable controls.
Cheers,
Erik
There’s now a 3D version of the 3 current rendering modes. These 3D versions should create a 3D perspective view of the monitor screen of the emulated arcade. Maybe I’ll add a complete model later, but for now it’s just the screen.

awesome!
black tiger is a bit too stretched ?
what controls works for arkanoid ??
btw, might want to do some censorship on the highscores…
Thanks
Use the mouse to control arkanoid.
Regarding black tiger, do you think this is also the case with normal, flat rendering? But yes, maybe the rounding is a little bit over the top ;D

Yeah, I might have to add something on the server which will cross out profanities or something…
wow thats great work!
Okay, not the most technically challenging or popular games, but still worth a look. There’s even some really old b/w white arcades added.
The new games are: Mr. Goemon, Amazing Maze, Check Mate, Eyes, Ponpoko, Bank Panic, Van-Van Car, Mr. Jong, Crazy Blocks, Dream Shopper, Lizard Wizard and Radar Scope.
JEmu2 doesnt seem to work with Mustang, snapshop 57 (latest). The javaw process is alive, nothing is displayed tho, not even the intial swing interface. Nothing is reported in the console and nothing on the output.txt.lck file either…
DP
That’s weird. It still works on b56 (locally, didn’t try with jws).
I used to have b54 and it didnt work on that either via JWS, so I upgraded to b57 hoping that an exception is thrown or something…but nothing.
DP
sounds like a JWS issue then. Thanks for letting me know, although I have no idea how to fix this.
Other than that, 1.6 seems to be a real blessing for emulators. With the game I’m working on now, 1.6 snapshot 56 client is 25-30% faster than
1.4.2_03 server!
If there’s nothing in the output, it crashes very early. There’s only some simple swing stuff and loading of a text file happening before anything is outputted to the console… :-\
I just tried the 1.6 vm with jws from java 1.5 and that seems to work fine… ???
Whatever it is, it seems it’s either jws 1.6 or something with your installation. Are you able to run other jws stuff?
yup, I can run pretty much everything else. Kevglass’s tempest works fine, so does alot of other JWS stuff.
Just tried ultratron, works fine too…
DP
Just noticed that the security box isn’t displayed, cleared the cache and everything and its still isn’t displayed… :o
Maybe something to do with the licenses?
DP
I just released a new version with support for ‘Snow Bros. Nick & Tom’. Funny game, actually
Also, the MC68000 emulator has been replaced. Although Snow Bros. is perfectly playable, this new core is not all finished and has some compatibility problems, so you might experience some problems with SF2 (sometimes it reboots) and the occasional glitch in Snow Bros (very minor though). I will fix this ASAP…
I didn’t obfuscate this version, so maybe it works with 1.6 now?
16 bit works fine as does CPS, and dam its fast! As soon as the app finished downloading, an instant later, the swing dialog was up for me to choose Snow Bros or SF2…
Now just de-obfuscate 8bit games and we’l be good… ;D
