My ZeptoWar - RTS game has robots vs humans, but it is not out of beta yet.
It still needs better balance, AI, and pathing. It is however my first RTS, and my first game with professional Art.
Also it is mainly for large screen cellphones and netbooks.
Is the professional art being added after the beta?
Interesting game!

Looks interesting. Is the API available for download? Couldnāt find any links.
With regards the the game IDE, this looks a similar idea to Stencyl (www.stencyl.com). However, this seems to have been going a few years and not seen any output so far, so not sure whats happening there.
Well I hope my artist does not read that.
I like the art. Itās better than the art I did for the other games.
Cell phone games canāt have 100000+ poly models with high end textures.
I have many artist asking to make a game with me. So I will soon cave into a 3D game now that I have OpenGL working with my game dev kit.
SteveyO,
I donāt have it open. If I provide the APIās then it would already be open.
As far as IDE stuff. I have thought about integration with a NetBeans Plugin and Alice.
Since Alice was delayed for several years and NetBeans went with someone else on the game plugin I have decided with my Open GL integration to go with JMonkeyEngine and itās Scene Graph like editor for 3D games. For 2D I will continue to use Tiled.
Ah, sorry, I wasnāt actually trying to be funny. I spose the art is good enough.

How I see it. The art is mainly better than mine, and it fine for the smartphones and netbooks the game is for.
I know it is not the best art ever. Itās hard to make top view 2D art pop out at you.
He wants to make a 3D version and as soon as I release the 2D final version I expect to start on the 3D version.
The art is overshadowed by the primitive menus I think - needs proper menu graphics instead of boxes and Arial fonts.

I love simple vector graphics⦠Sorry that you hate minimalism.
I made a nice menu for a game I made long ago called Mortification. When I make a 3D game I will use a similar menu. So things will pop better.
I like simple vector graphics, too.
However, it can be quite hard to read your text at times. If you, for example, rendered a solid translucent grey rectangle behind each block of text I believe it could help to ensure there was appropriate contrast for text to be legible.
Also, the way you tend to see different bits of the UI overlaid⦠isnāt exactly minimalist, Iām afraid. Itās quite cluttered and noisy, to my eyes.
Well, if any of that rings true, I guess it shouldnāt be too hard to change.
I have used red semi translucent boxes before, and I admit that it looked better. Although, when I added OpenGL I made some changes and didnāt put it back. It did reduce the clutter and allow for the minimalism to stay.
Maybe you should check my sig wrt. minimalism in games.
