Iron legion tank action game

Yes, other (LWJGL-)apps run fine. I don’t think that this is caused by texture size. I’ve never experienced a problem on that particular machine that was related to texture size.

Can you please try one more time, I have changed all the textures.

Nothing has changed with the new jar. It’s still looks like in the screen shot.

Maybe this is caused by a wring software OpenGL implementation. @Marcus: Please try to disable the OpenGL states cache. Maybe this helps on that machine. Of course with a performance hit. See canvas.getRenderOptions.setOpenGLStatesCacheEnabled( false ).

I have added several new features. The biggest is: Missions. Driving around the map you can find mission icons (like in GTA). Drive into an icon to start the mission. You will see a briefing and then the mission starts. Afterwards, the mission is cleared. All the time, the normal enemy patrols is active on the map. You might find it good to clear some patrols before starting a mission in an area. I hope you will try some of them (more will be added later) and tell me what you think.

I have changed the format of almost all textures. This has reduced the size of the download (less than half).

For EgonOlsens sake, I have added a new key: F2. Pressing F2 toggles setGLStatesCacheEnabled. Can you please try again and tell me how it works? (You might need to press the F2 key as this is disabled by default).

Link is dead. Was checking out if there was any more progress to this game. Are you still working on the game?

naww… I can get it for you if you really want to though… I think the player tank had a coax short range rapid fire plasma cannon that was never released to the public.

I was facing lots and lots of 3D modeling (buildings and such) and pathfinding to avoid them. It didn’t appeal to me. It was fun to get to know Xith3D though.

Ah right. Well I thought it could become a nice little game. If your not going to work on it more, you might want to release the source code in case someone wants to pick it up.

As soon as I have a longterm reliable server to put it on, I will release the code. My mum will by a new laptop soon and I bet I can get her old computer to use as a linux server.

The link did not work for me.

No, this game has not been live for almost a year. The server went down.
