I don’t know where you guys are from, but the obesity epidemic in America has got way out of hand in where everything is under the target scope. They are forcing calorie labels on all fast food and vending machine entities. There was even some reports stating that sodium and sugar need to be drastically minimized in a proper diet. In all respect to these reporters, I think people should just exhibit a little more self control.
I attribute it to just pure laziness, because it actually takes a bit of effort to live a healthy lifestyle. I think a major part of it is just that people don’t feel responsible for what happens to their own bodies. They believe that if they eat unhealthy one day, that a quick diet can thin them out again. Rinse and repeat.
I had an old teacher that pretty much sums this entire problem up.
“Our bodies have not undergone any massive changes in the last 3000 years. So guess what, the same foods that allowed our ancestors to live a healthy lifestyle, is going to be the same foods that will allow us to live a healthy lifestyle.”
I think we all just need to wise up on our eating habits in general.
