Markus shows how far one can get with the technologies we are using here. I don’t feel threatened or demotivated by his success, quite the opposite!
Actually, this whole minecraft thing has replenished my enthusiasm to work on my own projects again…
Minecraft shows that Java with OpenGL is good for popular commercial games. This has only helped Java.
We may had other good talent games posted here but the top games are still quite hidden away. We should make it easier for people who are new to JGO to test these games that need feedback.
Featured Game Section is probably as far as we can push it atm, once we have proper permissions then stuff like a front page with game of the day and stuff would be possible.

Yes, I want to stay involved, but there are some bigger issues that we have with regard to the JGO URL. I am trying to carve out time for Riven and I to fix a bunch of stuff but time has been in extremely short supply as of late. I hope to free up enough time by the end of next week to start doing the overhaul that Riven and I have been discussing ans am happy for any additional help.
Hope to have some meaningful update to you soon.
