In NY people will laugh at you if you use the term “Pop” when referring to soda XD
I know its pretty common in other parts of the country (And probably other parts of the world).
Isn’t it in the South (US) that people just call it Coke, whether or not it’s actually Coke?
I think that’s the weirdest of the pop/soda/sodapop/(Coke?) regional nomenclature instances.
Is there only one kind of: chicken? apple? grape? Nope and they all taste different. Then how they’re prepared…different again. Same with the nectar of the…ah…coffee.
I have never heard “pop” for soda, ever. But I do only hang around in NY when I’m in the US =/
But not even in movies… afaik
I love Soda because I love sweet stuff. Soda, ice tea, ginger ale, juice, hot chocolate. Try to minimize coke because of the caffeine, but its not a big deal, I guess ice tea has it too. I actually mix sweet drinks with carbonated water - which is common for juice but with soda makes most people cringe, but I got very used to it.
water can taste vastly different depending on brand and contents and what have you. so some I love and some I hate.
Tea is good, well it depends of course
Cant drink coffee… way too bitter :3
Where I’m from we call it ginger.
Also I hate “pop”, I used to drink a lot of it but one day I just said " fuck this" and stopped, not had one in about 5 years. Now if only I could do the same with beer.
Coffee is an acquired taste. A single teaspoon of sugar is sufficient. A dollop of cream is best, or at least half&half. Some coffees are definitely less bitter than others. Where I live, there are coffee shops everywhere, and I like to try the “house” coffees from each. A local shop owned by Yemeni immigrants is my current favorite. They import beans from their home country and the coffee made from them is very tasty.
Coffee shops are also good places to meet feminists. While you are checking out coffee shops, be open to striking up some conversations. You don’t want to end up like some of the participants on this thread: http://www.java-gaming.org/topics/if-i-made-my-main-character-a-girl/33156/msg/310911/view.html#msg310911 :
Haha that’s cold. I think I’ll stick to tea, that’s a bitter taste i can take.
Try drinking black tea and leaving it in the water too long first. Powerful enough to break teeth.
I drink both - some coffee in the morning (more as a social thing than really for the taste, filthy machine coffee) and in the afternoon I switch to tea; one black tea and for the rest green or red tea. Other than that I drink a liter of water to flush all the poison out.
