I’m listening to music most of the time when I code (server side or gaming). And I love listening to my Iriver flash player. That’s so cool with OGG support and FM radio. Anyway, here is the music I listen to:

When I was looking for a nick name, I wasn’t inspired at all and then I tought about this rush song and just found that this name sounds good for the kind of games I like to develop.

I’ve only heard one Rush song… was pretty good song too. I can’t remember the title… I think it was “One Little Victory.” Either way I heard it off a Need for Speed game

My code music is mostly techno/electronica like Crystal Method, Prodigy, Adam F, Shpongle (weird and beautiful stuff!), Sven Väth (his old stuff), Hallucinogen, Covenant (vocals), Jarre, Jan Hammer (remember Miami Vice?), mixed trance (Lange, Sasha, Corsten etc.)
There are some decent rock/pop as well like K’s Choice (some of their albums are excellent), Kent (Sweden’s best band), Coldplay, Abba, Erasure, Def Leppard, Lighthouse family, The Knife (Sweden’s second best band), Depeche, Lene Marlin
K.I.L.E.R, my girlfriend does the same on occasion, very amusing
My tastes seem to mirror ChrisM’s! Almost all of that is what I listen to The rest I’ll have to try

nope. i’m from germany. AFASK rush isn’t that popular there. have seen them last year on their 30th aniversary tour. it was amazing! it was the first time since 10 years they played in germany

Eh, I’m not all that old - only 25 yrs. I was probably 10 years old when a lot of thos bands were at their height. I just like the old stuff.
'Course I do listen to newer things, I just tend to be more skeptical of things which haven’t been subject to the test of time, you might say.

And yes, I did follow Bruce Dickinson’s solo career. You might say Maiden is my favorite band, I suppose. I have followed the careers of many of the band member’s other work, e.g.:
Blaze Bailey has a band now called “Blaze” - really good stuff
Adrian Smith used to have a band called “Psycho Motel” - I’ve got their stuff
Bruce used to be in a band called “Samson” I’ve got most of their stuff. I’ve also got this great version of the song “Elected” with Bruce Dickinson and Mr. Bean. Quite funny.

In addition to their summer Europe tour, Maiden are playing several of the shows of the US Ozzfest tour this summer - so I’m looking forward to seeing Maiden, Ozzy and Black Sabbath all in the same concert.
