Danger Maze

I spose it doesn’t really matter since the chance of me getting to selling a game are so small, but I actually wasn’t saying that a good game will sell, just that people don’t make money off putting CC sales directly into bad games. The reason the two companies you mentioned made alot of money may be that they’ve just got really good games, it might not be anything to do with the embedded CC sales.

I don’t use Internet Explorer. The main exploits involve gaining control of your machine - sure that’s as bad as it gets, but they still don’t necessarily get my credit card info. Usually it’s installing a drone for some DOS attack.

I say yes… people with credit cards that are willing to use them on the net are aware of the issue… It’s just my perception though, I have no facts.

People in general are idiots. I know 'cause I’m a people  I get a blank stare anytime I talk about anything more sophisticated than who was on the latest Oprah.

Cable modem = shared connection with the neighbourhood = easy sniffing.

[quote]There are far easier ways to get ripped off on the net, and buying computer games from within the game ain’t one of 'em.

Granted, you aren’t a Nigerian millionaire that wants to give me half your money for no particular reason, but that doesn’t make the concern less real for Joe User who is already been told by the media to only buy from reputable companies that he has heard of before.
