I used that, just explaining the reasoning…

“The topic title gives two hints about the sudoku part.” - ??? Probably an important hint…
“It’s just hex. :clue:” - I think that indicates that we’re on the right track with the above hex string…
“The answer is not what it seems.” - Not really helping…
“Don’t make it too hard for yourselves.” - It shouldn’t be too far-fetched I suppose.
The bow and the plus/cross. - Crossbow…

Also, I’m kinda assuming this whole riddle is somehow connected with Java. It’s the Java-gaming forum, right?

I didn’t get the drug thing, I just added the sounds together after someone solved for C already (using your phone ethics hint).
