Sorry about that! Given that within the first 5 min of going up, we realized that that chat application s*CKs, os we took it back down. Jeff and I are looking into a “proper” Java/IRC chat client for all to use. Hope to have it up within the next day.

Will you be setting up your own irc server?
if not - we are a couple of people at #javagaming on the freenode network (irc.freenode.net)
I feel it makes most sense that the chat is tightly coupled to this site. Whoever is logged on here should be 1 mouseclick (to the most) away from the chat.
I’d prefer a chat-window integrated into the main page.

I like X-Chat. It has a better layout in the message view when it comes to aligning names than mIRC, you’ll see, and it’s free, GPL free, not shareware sorta free.

I’m a bit late to this topic, but I’ve been begging for this for a WHILE now! Thanks for all who’ve resuggested it and added it. I’d love, personally, to be able to chat and share with most of our members in realtime! ;D
