Now that Half-life 2 has support for the rift, I’m going crazy waiting for the consumer version to come out
I got mine today, time to put the other things in State of Fortune on hold while I try to implement Rift support using JRift

Yeah I tried it a couple of times with the Rollercoaster demo.
My legs trembled driving down… very effective for me, can’t wait to play everything with it. I also never played Doom 3 before, so yeah
But I’m surely waiting for the consumer version. They say it will be better in every aspect, and its already very nice, but it lacks the head translating support of course which can make you sick instantly if you try.
I do think that this will, even if gradually, be a major game changer. Everyone is amazed when trying this thing out, even non-gamers. That spells success.

I had it on for 2-3 hours yesterday and didn’t have any problems at all with motion sickness, apparently I’m immune
The demo so far that had the best depth for me was the vr cinema, looking at a 3d movie in there was just awesome.
The quality of the screen is really bad but the comparison photos I’ve seen with the version they showed at the E3 is like night and day.
Using the JRift version adjusted for Minecrift is really simple, I had the polling of the rotation and so on of the rift up and running in 10 minutes in my game, not using the numbers yet though.
