Worked flawless! First time a homegrown loader works perfect for me (could be the new laptop or new java plugin, but I hope it is the loader).

So, yes, animation started almost instantly (briefly a blank area, no java splash), loading was quick and smooth. No freeze or problem with tabs.

It worked fine here, it took about 10-15 seconds to start, it was a bit slow:
Firefox 2, Mandriva Linux 2007, AMD Sempron 2600+, ATI Radeon 9250 Pro
