Of course, I was just saying that to be immature Everyone has their moments, right?
First of all, I am anal when it comes to grammar (although I donāt really care about spelling) , I abhor any mistake I make and have too try very hard not to point them out in my friends. But a language exists to communicate. Thatās actually its purpose and its origin. I mean look at all the irregular verbs in every single language. So a lot of the things that people donāt bother with / make mistakes on only exist because people were too lazy to bother with. In short language is there to communicate with. As long as thatās happening itās all good for me. I shall finish with a quote from Moliere:
āIf you are making yourself understood, then you are always speaking well.ā
This is trueā¦
Language wasnāt even the original topic, so let us return to it.
Hey, I feel insulted >:( lol j/k
And hey, the last time I visited JGO was last year
When i started in this forum , some guys here told me to give up and go use Game Maker.
Yeah.Im about to finish my first 2D game.
ā¦
In Java and Libgdx.
Deal with it.
some people just stand out more than others
In my defence, as I was one of the people you are referring to, you had made ~20 topics in Newbie/Debugging questions, all of which couldāve been solved by simple debugging. And that was why someone originally recommended it to you.
And then you posted some sarcastic comment, I replied to it pretending to take you seriously, and then the whole thread collapsed into a flame war.
But that is long behind everyone.
Nevertheless, congratulations on getting this far. :point:
But thatās what a good ninja would want everyone to assume! :persecutioncomplex:
More on topic: This is, by far, one of the less vitriolic forums Iāve participated in. And I pay more attention to the medals than to the rank, anyway.
Everything was new to me.Before dermet/robin started making videos of libgdx, i had to learn all from myself and outdated tutorials.
The documentation wasnt explaining right and i had never made a game before.
So Yeah.
Its the past.
Past my ass :

Why donāt you just research it. There are so many resources out there that will tell you exactly what you want to know.
[/quote]
Everytime i make a topic, he goes there and post that.
In this topic, i am currently researching everything in google but since my openGl bible havent arrived from amazon, im currently obligated to use google.
Opiop, Whats up dude? Do you think your little medals makes you superior to everyone else?
JGO KERNEL == JGO STUPID ARROGANT TROLL.
You wanted to piss me, you got it.
I never meant to anger you Andre. I am simply trying to get you to figure things out on your own. You have 64 topics created on this forum, yet many of them could be figured out by yourself with a little bit of work. I am not trying to insult you, so I have no idea why you are insulting me, but really come on.

JGO KERNEL == JGO STUPID ARROGANT TROLL.
princec, ra4king, theagentd, Eli Deventhal, teletubo, kappa, sproingie, davedes, Nate, Rebirth, Jimmt, kevglass, Orangy Tang, opiop65, me. (I may have missed one or two from the list)
Thatās an awful lot of people youāre insulting there for no reason.
Have you ever stopped and wondered if the reason you keep getting responses like this is because youāre doing something wrong? And that these people who you ignore and insult lots of the time are actually trying to put you on the right track?
One thing I have noticed in my time here on JGO is that irrelevant of skill or the type of questions being asked, the aggressive people usually get into situations like this because they canāt step back and just let a thread die. The easiest way to stop a thread collapsing into a flame war is to stop posting.
So hereās my recommendation to you:
#1: Donāt be so aggressive. Be nice to people and theyāll be nice to you.
#2: Think twice before posting. Even when youāve spent a while typing out a long rant, it may be better just to close the tab and let it slide.
#3: If a thread is going downhill, post a reasonable and calm final response, and leave it at that.
#4: Accept that everyone makes mistakes, and remember that also includes yourself.
#5: If you think someone is trolling you, either ignore them, or ask them to clarify what they said.
Yeah its awesome to victimize them when they are insulted, but when a single person is, nothing is said.
I was just asking a question that is really an enigma for me right now.
I dont know how is the schools in Europe/America in 1st world countries.Far as i know, they have programming and computer stuff.
I didnt have any of that, all that i learned, including my english, was by myself.
Logic and Programming was always a b for me, because i want to know how everything is made from the ground.
"why is boolean a String ātrueā/āfalseā, why we use binaries? how the machines know how to identify binaries?
That was all my questions when i started, was all very confusing and when i did start, sometimes i thought it was magic haha.
So When i finnally learned , i was kinda happy.
Thats why i buy books, watch every dermetfan YT tutorial.Because i like how he explains things and i can figure it out how badlogicgames built it.I keep wondering how did they build it , etc.
I also help others in my personal life with code and logic, and i never make fun of them and i always encourage them even when i know they lack the skills for it.
Because i do bealive in them, being my friends, family, brothers etc.
And when i help them in anyway, i feel happy about it.And im proud of that. I fix my pc neighbours for free when they need to. Sometimes is just a Google Chrome extension malfunction ,other times i have to analyze a windows minidump. But always i do.
If you dont bealive it, you can come over and ask my name around, im not actually arrogant about it or want to make my name. Its just who i am.I cant stop to help others.
Here in forum, its hard to help because mostly the issues are out of my knowledge range, yet.But i do try.
āprincec, ra4king, theagentd, Eli Deventhal, teletubo, kappa, sproingie, davedes, Nate, Rebirth, Jimmt, kevglass, Orangy Tangā,Im really sorry to insult you guys including Heroes which helped me a lot of times, but this opiop really pissed me off and i wont edit the post so everyone can see that i do make mistakes like any human does. And im sorry for raging out.
If you want me out of forum just pm me and im out.I know the forum is a privilege, and i didnt mean to go out and offend everyone else, but its bad to see this kind of act.
Nobody wants you gone. :point: We just want you to learn from your mistakes.
Sometimes when people get frustrated at seeing the same question repeated again and again, they can come across the wrong way, and when one person asks a lot of questions that have already been answered elsewhere, that can push someone (eg: opiop) over the edge in the same way that responses like opiopās push you over the edge.
I think thatās the best way of explaining it.
Donāt be discouraged, Andre.
Programming is a very challenging course to take on. Given that you are learning it from scratch, I can definitely relate to the struggles that you are going through while trying to learn the advanced techniques. If I were to advise you, it would be to not expect to be an expert quickly. I realize that you do ask plenty of questions to further your knowledge for yourself and others in this forum. In some ways, I feel that what you are doing will help others figure out how to achieve higher learning.
However, there is the other side of the coin that people would think you are not taking time outside of the forum to do the research required. Even though your intentions are good, some will fail to understand the intent and instead think you are āclutteringā the forums.
The best thing to do is to ignore those people, or to lead them on the right path.
If you were to start up one thread to handle all of your questions, it would actually create a much better environment for you getting answers as they will be able to ātrackā your progress and realize that you are going through a journey. In reality, practice always makes perfect. Showing people that you are improving will make them less likely to post āsearch Googleā comments.
Anyway, I hope that these things move past the community and move forward. It really is awful to have drama like this on forums for people, like Andre, who are trying to improve their skills.
I agree with @HeroesGraveDev - we are all guilty of something and we all occasionally rub someone up the wrong way often as a result of frustration. Itās not the best state of affairs but is an unfortunate side effect of being human and, just as being human, none can deny it. We are all of us jointly responsible so I think the greatest offence is to try to point the finger at individuals. It merely reflects badly on oneself.
No I think this thread has moved truly beyond both its initial scope and its usefulness. Perhaps we should return back or merely let it lie.

Donāt be discouraged, Andre.

Thanks for both of you replies.
Im really sorry to go out here, in a place where people helped me and attack them.Makes me feel like i dont appreciate the help and a total douchebag.
But in reality its just frustration.Im really researching this openGl thing. And im amazed by all its math and physics.Im starting to get a hang of it, but since i never coded openGl, except for libgdx wrap, its all news.
Im not making excuses, just stating facts.
Nowadays, i can simply go javadoc and figure it out a lot of things by myself.
Like when i posted about ClassLoaders. I was able to load a class Heroes!
Im using Reflection in my game so users can mod it!
I never thought i could reach here, and i am! So i just ask that someday i might help someone as i was helped. But for that i must be really good so i dont dissapoint whoever im helping, and for some reason, i always think that im not good enoughā¦
Well casualties of war i suppose, we all make sacrifices.
But thanks guys! I will be here firm and strong!
I know this might sound dull but if need anything, just ask/pm/smoke signal etc.
I have no idea what you are implying by this. I must be stupid. :clue:
