Java gaming is the future of interactive entertainment. A complete PC and Mobile gaming website is a great idea.
If JGO was made into a completely new, “full-featured” site, it would be a rival to the java.net site and would distribute the resources available to java game devs.
I think Sun’s really trying to make the “communities” at java.net work.
Maybe we should figure out what we’d like that community site to look like and then lobby them to make it so?
I’ve also had really bad experiences with people “upgrading” community-based sites and just deleting the whole forum, along with years of invaluable information. If that happened here I would probably never come back.

We’ve done that twice already! ;D
(Well, okay, the second time was an accident, and only restricted to one forum…)
And I have a full backup of the site to the day burned on a DVD so…not likely to happen again
