Dudes, you do it for yourselves. The medals is just a distraction. Help others and get that aura of contentment. It’s like weeing yourself in a dark suit - you get a nice warm feeling but nobody notices.

The medals are a nice and inconsequential “gamification” that supports being helpful and nice. Its a great system as it is, precisely because its not so serious or carries big rewards. Getting a medal makes me feel all warm and fuzzy inzide ;D

Hey, I understand that the medal “doesnt matter”, and its all about helping people or whatever
I really, really agree with Grunt.
The medal system is more like a game ranking system than a status symbol to me.
