3D graphics in Runescape - how?
I’m very impressed with your game
glad you like it
Some things I was wondering:
How long did it take you to make ?
around 2 years :frowning:
Is it compatible with the microsoft VM?
it is
How many frames per second does it run at?
there is 25 fps throttle.
and…
How much can I buy your code for?
At the moment I don’t consider selling it (and anyway not many people could afford to buy 2 years of my work)

Well then my first impresions were correct, it’s priceless :).

You should read this: http://tinyurl.com/jj898, apparently RuneScape is worth US$500m.

Perhaps if you can under-cut whoever’s willing to pay that you can sell your version for $499m!

more valuable then code or content is userbase, did you try factoring that in?

But what comes first, the chicken or the egg?

Matlu: a price on a masterpeice is crude, but hey, let me know if you change your mind.

I’m looking for a way to get a nice top-down view software-rendered world without having to learn matrix maths

Keith

numbers are your frend :-X

it’s about the chicken producing eggs producing chickens. It’s the combination of both that makes it valueable. I’ve seen good products fail and seen so-so products shine.
what I want to say is writing perfect software doesn’t cut it, like monney it’s nice to have but it doesn’t guaranty succes.

Matlu’s achievement is impressive in a number of aspects, I think it’s better to be warned about some other aspects before you encounter them the hard way.

the whole chicken egg situation is stupid. Its clearly the egg that came first…

A mutation and/or possible cross over during Prophase 1 in meiosis in the gametes of species X led to the creation of the chicken…hence the egg came first. ;D
